Earth at Home
Earth is our first teacher, our first home, and from her, we have all we need.
In what ways do you collect and honor pieces of Earth in your home?
What’s the lesson?
Our connection to Earth goes far beyond anything we can see with our eyes. It crosses over into infinity, as long as we believe. Being in total alignment creates space for us to take care of our minds and our hearts, and in that sense, we exist forever. Our immediate environments inspire our well-being. What are you surrounded by?
Our senses should be satisfied by things that keep us healthy, things that keep us lit up, things that keep us in love. The idea is to intentionally collect items that keep us inspired to simply be light, and be love.
The key is to sync with a rhythm of decluttering and detaching. Nature teaches us to flow freely. Be whimsical. If we are learning the lessons, we have a clear understanding of how to embrace and release all that comes and goes. We have a clear understanding of when to be still. We have a clear understanding of our connection with the trees. We know when in doubt, we turn to nature and study it. Become its reflection. Listen to the birds when they sing. Reject fear, judgment, and discomfort. Welcome courage, and be courageous. Watch the changes right before our eyes. No longer in denial. Pay attention to the evolution, within and around us. We are spirits. We are awakened! Everything that Earth and nature have to offer is welcomed into our man-made homes, as sweet and gentle reminders to flow naturally.
The things we collect should inspire us to remain centered, balanced, lifted. Find purity, and value that. Find innocence, and capitalize on that. Find radiance, and become drenched in that. Find the light, and never lose it again. Sing and fly as wild as birds. Grow strong and deeply rooted. The sky is beautiful. The ocean, so soothing. Let’s get back to nature, so much, that we become it. So much, that we are always surrounded by it!
With plants, with scents, with food, with animals, with sounds. In honor of Earth Day, take a look around - how have you brought Earth into your home?
